Purpose of the Prayer Chain for Seminarians and how it works

We are an apostolate, inspired by love for the Church and in response we pray for holy priestly vocations. For this and other reasons we are carrying out this work of our Most Holy God. We want to unite in prayer, for all seminarians to grow in knowledge and love of God and become holy priests.

Archbishop Soc Villegas: "Are you weak enough to become a priest?"

We believe in the strength of prayer and we know that the Lord listens to the prayer of his pleading people who are asking for seminarians to be obedient to the Magisterium of the Church, and to be in communion with the Holy Father and the Bishops.

We pray for the seminarians, that prayer becomes the backbone that nourishes them and sustains their vocation, and that they treasure the gift of celibacy.

We invite parents, friends and relatives to support all the seminarians in this call that God himself has made to be faithful to his Divine Will, and that they bring many souls to heaven.

Our prayer will help them to live in the Divine Will leaving aside the human will that separates them from the Creator.

This prayer chain for seminarians began on June 13, 2018, month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We ask the Almighty God to bless this apostolate and may the Blessed Virgin cover with her divine mantle every seminarian in the whole world, especially those who are going to be registered in this prayer page.

How the prayer chain works

On Wednesdays we will pray for all seminarians registered in this page. The participants in this prayer chain reserve a time and a seminarian for whom they will offer their Holy hour. If you wish to pray for an additional seminarian on the same day, you must sign-up for an additional time.

Enroll a seminarian or several but verify first that the seminarian is not already in the list of registered seminarians. To register, you must know his full name, nationality, date on which he entered into the seminary and the city of the seminary. Keep in mind that if you enroll a seminarian, you must support him by signing up to pray for him weekly.

Once registered, if you wish to join in prayer, you should go to the "RESERVE YOUR HOUR" tab. The page shows vertical columns for every Wednesday of the current month. The Wednesday in red font, represents the Wednesday for the prayer of the current week. First choose the column with the day in which you want to pray and then within that column choose the hour of prayer. Click on that number, which indicates the number of people who have already signed-up to pray on that Wednesday at that specific time. A zero indicates that nobody has signed-up yet for that day and time. It is highly recommended to cover first the hours that are with a 0. This process should be repeated each time you wish to join the prayer chain. If you want to join every Wednesday, you can make your reservation in advance for each Wednesday of the month.

Please contact doris@prayer4seminarians.com for any question or concern, or if you wish to report any ordenation, illness or death of a registered seminarian.
